Assistant Tax Manager - Sydney
An opportunity for an assistant tax manager to join a leading tax practice within a 2nd tier firm.
Our client is a leading 2^nd tier accounting associations in Australia and worldwide, they pride themselves on working closely with their clients to develop innovative approaches to their business challenges. The Corporate Tax team advises on all aspects of income tax matters for public and private corporate tax clients and high net worth individuals. Their clients include a range of business entities from medium sized privately owned groups to listed large public groups. Responsibilities As an Assistant Tax Manager, the role involves: First review On the job training Briefing junior staff and distributing work Writing competencies Interviewing clients and client management providing advice on income and fringe benefits taxation matters attending to compliance matters for more complex clients researching technical issues and preparation of letters of advice with a view to progressing to an increased consulting role. Experience and Technical Competencies Proven Australian tax knowledge, both at a technical and practical level 4+ years experience in a medium, 2^nd tier or Big 4 chartered accounting environment reasonable exposure to tax consolidation and capital gains tax. Commerce degree CA qualified Part complement of Masters of Tax desirable but not essential.
