Head of Tax, Asia - Singapore

This role reports to the Head of Global Tax and Mergers & Acquisitions and is responsible for the management of all aspects of tax risk within the Asia region. You will be required to provide commercially astute, strategic and technically accurate tax advice to key stakeholders in the region. International tax experience is essential. Knowledge of tax in Australia, Singapore, Malaysia, China & Japan is required.

• Tax structuring for major projects including new funds and large integrated property developments.
• Tax sign-off on investment submissions.
• Provide advice on cross regional issues including debt / equity mix, transfer pricing, tax shelter management, external service provider engagements, tax risk framework and tax planning initiatives.
• Oversight responsibility for regional tax reporting, governance and compliance.
• Year end process – liaise with external auditors in relation to material key tax issues, co-ordinate and review of tax notes in the group accounts
• Manage major disputes with tax authorities and oversight of review/audit activities in the Asia region. etc.

• 12+ years tax experience.
• Property and / or investment management tax experience preferred.
• Relevant financial tertiary & professional qualifications.
