Group Tax Manager - Melbourne

Key Features:

• Unique and challenging hands on role
• Oversee the tax function and provide strategic tax advice
• Report to CFO

Responsibilities: 

• Ensure compliance with revenue laws across a large number of jurisdictions
• Review, report on and address tax issues
• Advised and update TP documentation on an ongoing basis
• Complete and review all tax returns and support offshore businesses
• Work closely with finance on TEA calculations
• Optimising the taxation position of the group on a global basis.
• Manage tax liability by implementing effective tax
• Provide tax advice to management / the Board on restructures/divestments/acquisitions and other tax issues.
• Managing tax audits by revenue authorities

Experience and Qualifications:

• The ideal candidate will have 10+ years’ in-depth Australian CA corporate tax and in-house tax experience.
• In-depth knowledge of cross border tax issues affecting multinationals
• Strong tax compliance skills
• Degree qualified – CA / CPA
• Thorough understanding of Australian tax legislation
• Have a strong knowledge of Transfer Pricing
• Be able to implement systems and procedures and drive change across the business
• An ability to influence others in difficult situations
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
