Senior Tax Analyst – Corporate In-house – Sydney

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Property Trust Finance Manager, you will manage tax issues within the division and liaise closely with the Group Tax function on tax strategy issues, implications of new tax legislation and managing revenue authority obligations.

• Liaise with Group Tax Manager and Financial Controller regarding tax issues
• Identify and update policies and procedures
• Ensure accurate and efficient tax compliance processes are implemented
• Undertake reviews to ensure the integrity of the trust tax compliance function and Tax Risk Framework
• Tax technical areas: Income Tax, CGT, Taxation of Trusts, Withholding Tax, FBT, GST, Land Tax & Tax Effect Accounting
• Assist in all tax matters including preparation of the Group’s Income Tax Return, Annual Trust Distribution review calculations, Fringe Benefit Tax Return, and Business Activity Statements

Skills and experience:

This is a ‘hands on’ role which requires knowledge of tax issues associated with trusts.

• 4 years +  experience in taxation
• Appropriate tertiary qualifications and CA
• Flexible and willing to learn
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
