Tax Senior Analyst – In-house Corporate – Sydney

Responsibilities:

The Tax Senior Analyst will report to and work closely with the Head of Tax and will be responsible for the domestic tax issues of the Group.

Specific responsibilities include:

• Liaising with financial and operational staff regarding data collection and analysis
• Preparation and review of Income Tax returns, FBT returns, BAS, International Taxes and Other Statutory returns
• Preparation and review of Tax Effect Accounting calculations for half year and final income tax provision to Finance
• Assist in identification, development and implementation of systems and procedures for tax risk management
• Assist in the provision of advice to the Business, through research, surveys, compilation of newsletter material and writing of reasonably arguable position papers
• Assist in the supervision and development of Taxation Accountants

Skills and experience:

• 4+ years’ experience in taxation role (corporate exposure desirable)
• Appropriate tertiary qualifications
• An understanding of tax reporting systems and processes
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and experience with Oracle or equivalent
• Self-starter with excellent time management skills
